20 Point New Programme
The implementation of 20 point programme was initiated in the year 1975 by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme implementation of the Govt. of India There after this programme was restructured twice first in the year 1982 and then in the year 1986.
Point Nos 16(1) and point no. 16(2) pertain to the forestry.
Under point no 16(1) the details regarding seedling distribution by the Forest Department, private organizations, Non-Govt. organization for the purpose of tree planting on nor forest areas are covered.
Point No. 16(2)
Under point no. 16(2), the details of plantation area on Govt. land/public land/waste land are covered.
